WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) - The Northeast Iowa Food Bank is expanding services this summer with the need for food expected to rise. More services mean more volunteers are needed.
Summer programs are starting back up at the NEIFB and they serve a very important purpose. Children will be out of school and for some, that can be scary, because that means an end to regular meals.
Volunteers at the food bank are essential in helping everything run smoothly. We see all walks of life, NEIFB Community Outreach Manager Susan Entriken said.
Whether it s retired people looking for something to do, or someone just looking to put smiles on faces. There will soon be more work to do at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank.
