Drinking Green Beer? Use a Designated Driver! – Mix 107 3 KIOW

AJ Taylor5 days agoLast Updated: March 11, 2021 While this year’s celebration may look a little different in your hometown, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in America date back to when the country was founded. However you celebrate, stay safe this St. Paddy’s Day by remembering one important piece of advice: Buzzed Driving Is Drunk Driving. This means that if you plan to drink any alcoholic beverage, it’s essential that you plan for a sober designated driver beforehand. Even one drink can be one too many.

Traffic Safety Administration Urges Revelers To Stay Out Of The Driver Seat If Super Bowl Celebrations Includes Alcohol

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Region 7, which encompasses Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Arkansas, is reminding Super Bowl LV celebrants that everyone wins if we work together to prevent drunk driving. Local law enforcement agencies will show zero tolerance for impaired driving and there will be enhanced enforcement on Super Bowl Sunday. So whether you are rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, make a game plan to not drink and drive. “Everyone wants to see their team win Super Bowl LV, but make sure you enjoy the big day safely,” says NHTSA Regional Administrator, Susan DeCourcy. “We need a commitment from our community members that they’ll keep the streets free of impaired drivers so that everyone can have a safe ride home. We want to remind everyone that driving drunk is illegal and it takes lives. Help us protect the community and put an end to this dangerous and senseless behavior,” she adds.
