into muslim life. there s a new study in this country. i want to bring in now the director of that study, survey research director. let s look at some of the numbers here. majority of muslims say 9/11 made life more difficult for them. what were some of the specific claims? we found that almost half of muslim americans reported one of several specific things that have happened to them just in the past year such as being viewed with suspicion, being called names, even being threatened or attacked. we also find that over half of them think that the news media is not fair in its coverage of islam. when we ask what are the most important problems facing the muslim-american community, two-thirds mention something about the way they re viewed by the broader society. not things like the economy, which most everyone else is very concerned about. i read all that in the study,
