Rob Machado is not just one of the world’s greatest surfers; he’s one of the sport’s most recognizable characters, a living icon who continues to expand the definition of what professional surfing is all about. Known for his Zen-like flow both on land and in the water, Machado was consistently amongst the top seeded competitors while on the ASP World Tour. With 12 career WCT victories, Machado has been among the elite top ten most popular surfers since 1996 on Surfer Magazine’s Surfer Poll and was inducted into the Surfer’s Hall of Fame in 2000 and re-inducted in 2006. In 2009 he was awarded the prestigious honor of Waterman’s of the Year by the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) and in 20011 the City of Huntington Beach California awarded him with a star on the Surfing Walk of Fame. Keala is a Kauai-born surfer who turned pro at seventeen, and in time qualified for the ASP World Tour. On Tour, Keala charged in heavy waves like Cloudbreak and Teahupoo, where she also earned recognition for being the first woman ever to tow-in in 2005. Then, Keala took a break from surfing to pursue acting. She was in the Hollywood hit movie Blue Crush and was a season regular on the HBO show John From Cincinnati. In the last few years Keala has had much success as the first viable female free surfer. Recently, Keala became the first woman to surf Nelscott Reef and won the Big Wave Classic, the first event of its kind to include women. She continues to push women's surfing to new levels.
When she was just seven years old, Coco Ho learned to surf in a spirited effort to impress her older brother. But while her family also includes surf legends Michael Ho (her dad) and Derek Ho (her uncle), Coco soon became an idol in her own right. Qualifying for the Association of Surfing Professionals Women’s World Tour at age 17 and repeatedly voted a top three fan favorite in Surfer magazine’s Surfer Poll Coco now seeks to build on her award-studded surf career while inspiring other girls to break through barriers and pursue their passions.
