Microsoft has announced that its latest flagship 2-in-1, the Surface Pro 8, is now available for Indian customers to pre-order. It has been joined in this new market by its 7+ counterpart, which also has Tiger Lake silicon but lacks a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the models of either available to non-business customers are limited.
Microsoft Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro 7+ are set to go on sale in India on February 15. The tablets come with the 11th Gen Intel Core processors and Windows 11 out of the box and were launched at Microsoft’s hardware event in September 2021. Pre-orders for Microsoft Surface 8 have started today, and customers will be able to purchase both Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro 7+ on February 15.

For example, we all expected it to be called the Surface Pro 8, and then when it wasn t, it wasn t really clear why, being that the Pro 7+ actually has more significant improvements than some other Surface Pro upgrades we ve seen.

Now, the Redmond firm announced that it s selling replacement SSDs for the Surface Pro 7+. And to be clear, these are
only for the Surface Pro 7+, as the announcement specifically say that these kits won t work in the Surface Pro X or Laptop Go, failing to mention the Surface Laptop 3. It s unclear why they won t work, but we ve reached out to Microsoft for more information on that, as well as if the company is going to offer similar plans for its other devices with removable storage.
