Uttarakhand: 15 More Bodies Recovered; Toll Rises To 53
Six bodies were recovered from the Tapovan power project tunnel, six from Raini upstream and one from the riverbank in Rudraprayag, taking the confirmed death toll in the Uttarakhand disaster to 51. Twelve more bodies were recovered on Sunday including five from the slush of the Tapovan tunnel, six from Raini village and one in Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, where rescue operations have been underway since February 7. The toll has now reached 53. Around 160 people are still missing after glacier burst in the area last Sunday.
