The Trinidad and Tobago Guardian is the longest running daily newspaper in the country, marking its centenary in 2017. The paper started life as the Trinidad Guardian on Sunday 2nd September 1917 by the newly formed Trinidad Publishing Company Limited.
THE SUPREME Court has ruled that the Scottish parliament cannot legislate for a second referendum without the consent of Westminster. The ruling creates an obstacle for First Minister Nicola Sturgeon who has set 19 October 2023 as the date for a second independent referendum, having previously held one which was rejected in 2014.
