Canopy Growth’s proposed acquisition of The Supreme Cannabis Company includes the 7Acres cultivation facility in Tiverton.
Thursday’s acquisition announcement said the plant near Kincardine has “a demonstrated capability of consistently producing premium flower from sought-after strains at low cost with significant potential for scaling.”

The Supreme Cannabis Co.’s 7Acres “hybrid-greenhouse cultivation facility” was first licensed to produce cannabis in 2016.
A Canopy spokesman offered an emailed comment Friday when asked about the importance of the facility, employment levels and potential impacts of the deal for its future.
