The striker has hit 30 goals in 52 appearances so far this season, including two hat-tricks against AFC Wimbledon and Doncaster Rovers along the way.
Wyke was nominated for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Season award alongside George Honeyman and Jonson Clarke-Harris.
While also being named in the Sky Bet League One Team of the Season, which also included Aiden McGeady, Luke OâNien and Lee Burge.
The 28-year-old also became the first Sunderland player since Kevin Phillips in 1999-2000 to score 30 goals in a single season.
After claiming the accolade, Wyke said: âIâm delighted to receive the award. Itâs been a good season for myself, but I couldnât have done it without the lads. The Head Coach came in and played the way I like, and Iâve loved every minute of it.â

Striker David McGoldrick was named the Town Players’ Player of the Year at this evening’s End of Season dinner at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall. The 26-year-old netted 16 goals before his season was cut short by a knee injury in February.
Jonny Williams’s strike during the recent 2-1 victory over Derby at Portman Road was named the Town Goal of the Season, while Christophe Berra added the Boxholders and Sponsors’ Player of the Year gong to his recent Supporters’ Player of the Year award.
Daryl Murphy won the John Kerridge Memorial Trophy for the most improved player, manager Mick McCarthy having been the man deciding the destination of that award.

He might have just picked up two honours at the end-of-season supporters’ awards, but Bartosz Bialkowski has declared the best is yet to come.
In the week when the popular 28-year-old Polish keeper lifted the Supporters’ Player of the Year and Junior Blues Player of the Year awards, Bialkowski could be forgiven for savouring a personally-fantastic end to a tumultuous season.
But Ipswich’s number one has issued a positive message to downbeat supporters as he bids to make the goalkeeping shirt his own for many years to come.
