KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 ― Bursa Malaysia opened higher today, rebounding from yesterday’s downtrend following the government’s announcement on vaccinations for workers in the critical economic sectors under phase four of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme. At 9.10am, the benchmark.
KUALA LUMPUR: The National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme recorded 151, 309 vaccinations on Tuesday, the highest number of daily vaccinations since the programme kicked off on Feb 24.
The Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee said this included 105, 722 individuals who received their first dose.
“Another 45, 587 received their second dose, ” the committee posted on its Twitter account yesterday.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba tweeted that as of Tuesday, a total of 1, 180, 744 individuals had completed both doses.
He added that 2, 609, 377 individuals had received their first dose, bringing the total number of the Covid-19 vaccine doses dispensed in the country to 3, 790, 121.
Dr Adham said Selangor recorded the highest number of recipients who completed both doses with 152, 215 individuals, followed by Sarawak (124, 820), Kuala Lumpur (108, 740), Perak (108, 361) and Johor (107, 192).
