London, 11 December 2020 – The UK Chamber of Shipping is delighted to announce Nick Brown, Lloyd’s Register’s (LR) Marine and Offshore Director and the incoming Group CEO from 01 January 2021, has been appointed to the Supervisory Board of the UK Chamber of Shipping.
The UK Chamber of Shipping is the voice of the UK shipping industry with nearly 200 members from across the maritime sector. The Chamber works with Government, parliament, international organisations and others to champion and protect the industry on behalf of their members.
The UK Chamber’s governing body is the Supervisory Board. It brings together around 30 senior figures in the shipping industry who oversee and guide all UK Chamber activities on behalf of the membership.

WORLDWIDE – The World Shipping Council (WSC) Board of Directors elected two Co-Chairs of the Board to succeed outgoing Board Chair Ron Widdows. Effective since November 24, the WSC Board will be co-chaired by Rolf Habben Jansen, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd and Jeremy Nixon, CEO of ONE, serving for an initial two-year term.
Widdows, who has served as the WSC Chairman for over a decade, previously announced his intention to step down once his successor was elected by the newly expanded Board of Directors.
