The county Board of Supervisors — come Feb. 12 — is poised to vote on a three-year contract with the Civil Service Employees Association general unit, a group of 275 members, including highway laborers, social workers and elder care specialists.
The plan’s $2.2 million deficit will be bridged with fund balance dollars instead of raising property taxes. This is the second year in a row that the Common Council has opted to keep taxes at $19.45 per $1,000 in assessed value.
