During Thursday’s Board of Supervisors meeting, its Redevelopment Authority OK d a plan to create a budget for improvement allocations throughout Carson City including new holiday decorations, new bike racks, historic trail signage on pedestrian and bike paths, sidewalk improvements and more.
The featured speaker at Monday s Democratic luncheon will be former Carson City Fire Chief Stacey Giomi, currently a member of the Board of Supervisors representing Ward 1. He assumed office on January 7, 2019 and is running for reelection.
The newly elected Board of Supervisors, including Mayor Lori Bagwell, Supervisor Lisa Schuette, Supervisor Mo White, and appointed supervisor Stan Jones, along with Supervisor Stacey Giomi, met for their first board meeting of 2021 on Thursday.
After more than three hours of public and board discussions regarding allowing additional cannabis dispensaries to operate in Carson City, the Board of Supervisors accepted the first reading of a policy that deals with potentially expanding the maximum number of dispensaries from two to four.
