A plan for Doylestown parks, open space and trails will make inclusion a priority as the township upgrades and maintains its recreation facilities.
The 10-year plan generally focuses on four primary goals that township staff and officials can refer to as they address the growing needs of the community’s 17,806 residents.
Consultant Judy Stern Goldstein worked with township staff and committee members develop the updated plan first developed in 2007, in conjunction with Doylestown Borough.
“The plan, as it is now, also has a new and stronger emphasis on sustainability, inclusion, social equity and flexibility. With this plan, we believe that your parks and recreation department will have the tools to pivot … as challenges and opportunities arrive,” Goldstein said Tuesday.
