A woman whose body was found in an orchard just east of State Route 43 is identified as 33-year-old Claudia Vazquez of Bakersfield. Deputies found her April 26th in the area off Superior Road and Stockdale Highway, but it's not known how long she'd been there or how she died. An autopsy is planned.

A woman was found dead in an almond orchard on Superior Road, north of Stockdale Highway, around 8 a.m. April 26, according to the Kern County coroner’s office.
