POLICE are concerned about a dramatic drop in the number of stalking cases being reported. Last year across Cumbria, 506 cases of stalking we reported, the previous year it was about 1,600. Detective Superintendent Dan St Quintin, Cumbria Constabulary lead for stalking and vulnerability, is worried that the pandemic has led to people being stalked in different ways, rather than a reduction in the number of cases. DS St Quintin is continuing to urging people to come forward and report any unwanted attention he said: We want to act early and encourage people to report any attention that they feel is unwanted.
