The Lake Travis school district has canceled all classes on Monday, including remote classes.
In a letter to students and families, Superintendent Paul Norton said many teachers, bus drivers and other staff are still dealing with water and power outages. He also said that mechanical and support operations have not been in service since Feb. 11, when schools were closed for a staff development day. This includes HVAC units as well as food and transportation services, Norton said. We do not fully know the full impact of the frigid weather of our infrastructure.
He said mechanical and operations systems will be tested and reset on Monday in preparation for classes resuming Tuesday.
