Wagner said in a prepared statement that he wanted to pursue other employment opportunities next year.
He said during his tenure the district focused on students and helping students, made gains in student achievement, and survived the effects of COVID, among other achievements, and thanked the district for the opportunity.
School board chairman Dave Belus thanked Wagner for his time with the district.
The board voted to seek assistance from the Wyoming School Board Association in the search for a new district superintendent.
