Date Time Western Region officer wins Domestic Violence Practitioner of Year An officer attached to Western Region has won the state award at the 2020 NSW Police Force Domestic Violence Practitioner of the Year. Senior Constable Nicole Pitt was awarded the title at a ceremony held last Thursday (10 December 2020), while Senior Constable Jessica Pank was ranked in the top three finalists. Snr Cst Pitt has been stationed at Brewarrina for the past two years, and in addition to her general duties role, she has focused on connecting with disadvantaged youth, specifically young girls to address the issues experienced in remote communities. Snr Cst Pitt’s efforts have resulted in improved police and community relationships, the provision of essential hygiene items and recreational equipment, as well as contributing to the success of support programs implemented in the town.
