Super Sonido celebrates the music of Ana Tijoux who was born in “1977” to parents living out political exile in France.
She has become one of the most prolific and profound rappers to come out of Latin America.
Ana has worked with everyone from Julieta Venegas to Blu and has released 5 albums of her own. While her songs are deep and personal they are so relatable it’s hard not to feel the songs inside yourself.
Tijoux is the definition of Chingona and is a role model for women of all ages. She speaks to the dreams and pain and vulnerability particular to women and gives validity to both the beauty and grief that is “Humanidad.” Her music is power music, the music you listen to as you get ready for the next “Antifa Dance”
