Donations are still coming in to help out area nonprofits following Winter Storm Uri.
The latest is a $50,000 donation from Mitsubishi Gas Chemical in Tokyo Japan. The money will be split between four area nonprofits. $12,500 will go to each of these local organizations: the American Red Cross, Killeen Food Care Center, Greater Killeen Community Clinic and United Way of Central Texas.
Millions of people were left without power, water, and other basic needs as Winter Storm Uri rolled through Texas. These four organizations were among many that jumped into action to help those that needed it in Killeen. This donation will help these organizations continue to provide the help people need.
