WOONSOCKET – Freezing temperatures, strong winds and unrelenting rain made up the worst conditions Rick LaBreche has ever seen for the annual Torch Run Super Plunge this year.
Plunging into the frigid Atlantic Ocean almost 200 times doesn’t make the next plunge any easier, according to the man who’s done it, retired Woonsocket firefighter Rick LaBreche.
The jump will take place in the parking lot using the portable trailer pool that was built by Pro-Tainer in Alexandria. This pool is typically used for the Cool School Plunge in Alexandria.
