If Today is Mario Day, When is National Luigi Day?
The green man deserves his own day!
Today, Nintendo fans and gamers all over the world to unite in celebration of video game’s most recognisable plumber – Mario. Mar10 is celebrated as Mario Day for no other reason than the way the date looks.
While the red-hatted, moustachioed Jumpman deserves his plaudits for all he’s done for the video game medium, his taller green brother deserves some love too.
Luigi first appeared back in 1983, long before most other games characters and for that reason alone, he deserves to be celebrated.
Captain Toad Sets Out on His Next Adventure
One of the greatest additions to the original Super Mario 3D World was the bonus Captain Toad levels included with the game. Captain Toad was so well received that it even got its own spin-off title for the Wii U, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker which included some Super Mario 3D World levels. Fans were disappointed when the game was ported to Nintendo Switch, but without the 3D World levels. Instead, they were replaced with a new set of Super Mario Odyssey levels.
Now, with the release of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, we will not only be getting the original Captain Toad levels back, but will also be getting a new addition to Captain Toad’s adventure, four player co-op.
