To vaccinate or not, it’s your choice
Welp, I am fully vaccinated!
Let the zombification begin! Now I wait and see whether I have a pleasant experience like Mom, where she didn’t have any irritations or adverse reactions from her COVID shots, or whether I grow a third eye.
Actually I wouldn’t mind a third eye right now. My other two are getting older and blurry, maybe a third one would clear things up.
Maybe I’ll grow a third arm. That would be perfect, especially in traffic. I could keep both hands on the wheel and use my third arm to give the middle finger to the person who forgets to turn on their turn signal or honks their horn for no reason.

Which shot was better: Jalen Suggs’ shot that put Gonzaga in this year’s NCAA championship game for men’s basketball, or Christian Laettner’s shot that got Duke to the Final Four in 1992?

But I pick Laettner’s shot for three reasons: It’s Duke-Kentucky. Bigger names = bigger game. Duke was trailing. If Suggs misses, that game goes to a second overtime. If Laettner misses, Duke goes home. Suggs’ shot was longer, but Laettner’s was tougher. Laettner had to catch, turn and shoot, and was tightly guarded.
BTW, Ric Flair had input on this debate. He says Laettner. I do, too.

The Pittsburgh Clothing Co. has a new line of T-shirts ready for the start of Pirates season. They use the letter “P” as displayed on the team’s caps. It’s the exact same style.
The shirts say PAIN.
That’s Mr. T’s prediction for the Pirates season. It’s also my prediction, and I would think just about everybody’s.
Says the Pittsburgh Clothing Co., “Wearing this means you understand it isn’t going to be fun for the next few years, but you care.”
I get it. I like it.
But I bet the Pirates don’t get it, or like it.

Brandon Tanev of the Penguins sent Boston’s Jarrod Tinordi sprawling with a clean check last night. Tinordi was off-balance and Tanev caught him shoulder to sternum. It’s how youth coaches teach kids to hit. Neither referee put his arm up for a penalty.
But Tinordi left the game hurt, and the Bruins wet their pants as one. So, the referees turned to fiction: Tanev was given a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct.
If you’re going to penalize that hit, the NHL might as well play men’s league-style no-check. That’s not even a minor penalty, let alone a major and an ejection.
