Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (Yadim), a government-linked organisation set up to promote Islam, is pushing for a plus-size pageant scheduled to be held in January next year to be scrapped.
Yadim chairperson Nasrudin Hassan said his organisation objects to the Miss/Mrs Plus World Malaysia 2020 Grand Final Gala Night to be held at Sunway Putra Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 2.

In a statement earlier today, 19 December, YADIM president Nasruddin Hassan said that the group would like to express its official protest over the organisation of the Grand Final Gala Night for Miss/Mrs Plus World Malaysia 2020 on 2 January 2021 at the Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
