New pathway provides missing link and safe access

Sunshine Coast Council A new two-metre wide pathway, nearly 300 metres long, is nearing completion along Havana Road West, Peregian Springs, providing a key missing link for residents. The new Havana Road West pathway, between Brushbox Way and the Sunshine Motorway, will be completed this week (30 April 2021). Division 9 Councillor Maria Suarez said the project was a high priority given the number of people who used the pathway, including Coolum State High School’s 1426 students. “The footpath construction on Havana Road West will greatly increase the safety of all of our residents who walk, ride and scooter to school and nearby attractions,” Cr Suarez said

Holiday traffic woes: Forty-minute Bruce Hwy delays

As of 12pm there were 40-minute delays on the Bruce Highway southbound, with congestion backed up from Elimbah to Beerwah. There is also congestion on the Sunshine Motorway southbound at Sippy Downs. Meanwhile, a motorcycle crash in Woodford is causing delays on the D Aguilar Hwy. Paramedics were assessing one woman in a stable condition following the motorcycle and vehicle crash on D Aguilar Highway and Kilcoy Beerwah Road at 11.05am.
