Sunshine Coast police arrested 16 people and pulled over more than 700 drivers on the Bruce Highway as part of a major drug driving blitz on Tuesday night.
It is alleged he uploaded child abuse material to a Google account. He was charged with three offences and is expected to face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday. Anyone who shares or accesses child sexual abuse material is active in perpetuating the emotional and psychological harm of children.
Detectives had appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of Poole who was believed to be camping at Coochin Creek. Poole is alleged to have punched and kicked another man known to him on December 19 at Bribie Island. The man suffered a serious head injury and had to be taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women s Hospital where he remains in a critical condition. A 38-year-old woman was also taken into custody and is assisting with inquiries. Poole is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday. Police are also investigating another incident where a group of teenagers at Coochin Creek were approached by a man and allegedly threatened with a machete.
Water police have joined in searches in the southern parts of the Sunshine Coast for a man described as “violent and dangerous” and potentially still armed with a machete.
