Mawhinney said Howarth was definitely an up and comer in the game. To let him unleash will be pretty exciting, he said. He ll be a handy one for us - I haven t seen too much of him but I ve kept an eye on him coming through the grades.

On Saturday Mullen will run out with the Sunshine Coast Falcons for his first game in four years with the utility eager to prove himself. Obviously excited coming to the team and training and playing here and getting back the football skills, Mullen said. Sunshine Coast Falcons prepare for their first trial this year against the Ipswich Jets. Four years I ve waited so looking to rip in. Mullen has relished the pre-season with the Bokarina outfit. Game fitness is a different kettle of fish you can train as much as you want out here and do all the weights and that sort of stuff, game fitness is different, he said.
Tyson is only a young kid he s got a big future, he said. Paul has played 9 s footy for the Cook Islands and played in the team of the tournament so he s got some talent. Big Bessie he can be anything and Patrice as well he s been in NRL systems. I think for those guys it s up to them to take the opportunity but certainly it wouldn t surprise me if they stayed down there longer term. The coach said there is some concern however about getting the boys back on board after the six weeks. That s all depending on borders and everything, he said.
