Big blues are blasting plugs north and south of Boston, North Shore stripers are slurping eels at night, while further south, mahi mahi and yellowfin tuna are in abundance offshore.
While an influx of baitfish has Boston bass biting, the black sea bass and fluke action in Buzzards Bay has been excellent and tuna have been chasing sand eels up through the SW Corner of Stellwagen Bank.
The front line for striped bass has shifted from rivers to embayments and harbors, and tautog gathering around structure in deeper water as they wrap up their spawning.
