Films, especially from Bollywood, were a huge part of his life. But, with movie halls shut due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Shrestha did not get to do so anymore since March. Even though he still watches films on his phone, he says the feeling is not the same. “I’ve been watching films at Gopi Krishna almost every Friday since the mid-90s,” says Shrestha. “Whenever I drive past the hall, I pray that things get better soon so that I don’t have to watch films on the phone anymore.”
