There are four episodes in the spring 2021 Boheme Opera NJ Series at Monroe Twp. Library, offering a wonderful opportunity to hear several young singers in an intimate setting for Zooming pleasure in the comfort of private homes. They are free and open to the public.
The first episode will be March 17th entitled More Than the Barber. This will be a presentation of Bel Canto selections from Rossini and Donizetti. It will feature international soprano Sungji Kim, who has performed extensively in Europe, Asia, Russia, Canada and throughout the United States, as well as numerous times with Boheme Opera NJ. Boheme Opera NJ is moving its Lecture Performance Series at Monroe Township Library to the internet, with four Zoom episodes planned this spring. All programs are free and will begin 1 p.m.
The first installment, “More Than the Barber,” will take place on Wednesday, March 17, with soprano Sungji Kim performing bel canto selections from Rossine and Donizetti. Kim has portrayed more than 30 operatic roles in Europe, Asia, Russia, Canada and throughout the United States, including numerous times with Boheme Opera NJ.
