“This is all slander. I don’t know about the existence of the WhatsApp group. Even if it existed, it is not the official WhatsApp group of Umno’s supreme council. Maybe it was created for slandering purposes,” she said in a statement on Saturday (May 15).
Recently, screenshots of WhatsApp chat group, supposedly among the party’s supreme council members, went viral.
The screenshots supposedly showed Noraini inviting Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming, who is from DAP, to one of her programmes.

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 3,551 new Covid-19 cases amidst a sharp increase in Penang.
The number of patients needing intensive care and ventilators reached a new record high. Malaysia has a finite number of ICU beds and ventilators.
The number of active cases is also continuing to trend upwards.

BANGI: Students, teachers and school staff are reminded to always adhere to the prescribed standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the school session can continue safely.
Senior Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin, who is also Education Minister, said the students, especially, need to always adhere to the SOP upon arriving at school and when they are to disperse to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among them and also the school population.
“We already have a fairly complete and orderly SOP, what is important is compliance. Parents also have to constantly remind their children to abide by the stipulated SOPs.

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Civil Defence Force (APM) has no problems mobilising its 200 members, who are involved in the existing Agen Basmi Covid-19 (ABC-19) duty, to carry out vaccination registration in remote areas.
Its Director Colonel Sharudin Md. Zain said the force is also ready to increase its manpower to 400, if needed, to assist in ensuring people in rural areas get vaccinated.
“Our personnel will help in the registration of senior citizens, the disabled and other high-risk citizens in this immunisation programme.

“At the moment, I am waiting for official instructions (with regards to deployment and coverage areas) from the APM headquarters in Sungai Merab, Bangi, which is expected to be issued tomorrow,” he told NST when contacted, Sunday.
