PETALING JAYA: A water surge hit Jeram Mawar near Kampung Air Putih in Kemaman, which claimed the lives of two victims so far, with eight others still missing.
There are currently eight flood mitigation projects being carried out on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia that are collectively worth some RM1.64 billion, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change.
KUALA LUMPUR: More flood victims have been evacuated to relief centres (PPS) in Terengganu and Kelantan, bringing the total number in both states to 26,447 people as at 8am yesterday, hours before Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob visited some of them.
KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan recorded a slight increase in the number of flood evacuees on Thursday (March 3), while the flood situation in Terengganu is improving with the decrease in the number of evacuees.
KUALA LUMPUR: The number of flood victims in Terengganu and Kelantan who are still at relief centres (PPS) dropped to 24,989 individuals as at 2pm Wednesday (March 2), from 26,447 people earlier in the morning.
