Earlier this week, Prime Minister Boris Johnson indicated the rule in Britain could be ditched next month.
The final decision on whether the change can be brought in from June 21 will depend on the data, he added.

Michelle O’Neill said there have been no discussions in the Stormont Executive for a similar move, however she said the conversation will be had “in due course”.
“I have noted Boris Johnson’s commentary, however the Health Minister hasn’t brought such a proposal to the Executive at this point for discussion but I’m sure that over due course, that is a discussion that we will have to have,” she told MLAs.
Northern Ireland s shops, gyms, pubs, restaurants and cafes have reopened today for the first time in four months as Stormont joins the rest of the UK governments in easing lockdown restrictions.
Licensed and unlicensed premises can now serve customers in outdoors setting in groups of six from no more than two households, bringing it in line with current rules in England, Scotland and Wales.
Other changes include curfews on takeaways and off-licences being removed, while health clubs and swimming pools can reopen for individual activities.
Meanwhile, the limit on outdoor gatherings in domestic gardens has increased to 15 people from no more than three households.

Hospitality bosses have expressed frustration after a number of venues with outdoor areas were told they do not conform to coronavirus rules.
Outdoor hospitality, non-essential retail, gyms and swimming pools are set to reopen tomorrow.
But a number of bars say they will not be able to reopen after their outdoor areas were deemed to have too many walls.
Pedro Donald, owner of the Sunflower Bar in Belfast, said its outdoor area has the same set-up as last year, when it was permitted to open.
He told the PA news agency he spent thousands of pounds ordering in stock for the reopening date which was announced two weeks ago, but that was thrown into uncertainty on Wednesday when council staff told him the outdoor area does not comply with requirements.
