MILFORD - At the height of the pandemic on April Fool’s Day 2020, Susan Patrick opened her Walnut Beach Creamery homemade ice cream shop a month earlier than usual, and it turned out to be a banner year for sales.
“People couldn’t go on vacation (because of the pandemic), but they could get an ice cream,” Patrick said. “It was a very good year.”
