A dog from Alabama who was badly injured during the March tornadoes has found a new home in Florida.
Beacon, who is also affectionately known as “the tornado dog,” was badly injured and unable to stand in the aftermath of the tornados, according to Suncoast Animal League, an animal shelter who fostered Beacon for several days.
In fact, Beacon was trapped underneath a shed before he was rescued.
According to the shelter’s Facebook page, Beacon recovered from his ordeal at Montevallo Animal Hospital before he was flown to Brooksville, Florida and finally driven to the shelter. After a few days at the shelter, Beacon was taken to a foster-to-adopt home, where animals stay until they are adopted by others.
