愛媛県警今治署は12日、今治市市民課の会計年度任用職員、竹田果歩容疑者（29）=同市南高下町3丁目=を地方公務員法（守秘義務）違反の疑いで逮捕し、発表した。「捜査に支障がある」として、認否を明らかにしていない。
署によると、竹田容疑者は2020年12月9日ごろ、職務上知り得た情報を知人に漏らした疑いがある。県警が市役所に照会した捜査情報を漏らしたとみられる。
市によると、竹田容疑者は市民課の会計年度任用職員として、昨年度は戸籍、今年度はマイナンバーの事務を担当していたという。一方で、情報の種類や漏洩（ろうえい）相手などは不明と説明した。
警察が自治体に情報提供を求める場合、捜査関係事項照会書を提出する。市によると、戸籍関連の照会が多く、「重なる時は1日10件ほど」。照会
