A year after the COVID-19 pandemic halted nearly all outdoor community events, Memorial Day parades will again be held in Clark, Roselle Park and Summit.
Clark s annual parade will kick off 9 a.m. May 31 on Nassau Street and will end at Arthur L. Johnson High School on Westfield Avenue where a service will be held The purpose of Memorial Day is to memorialize the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. We spend time remembering those who lost their lives and could not come home, reflecting on their service and why we have the luxury and freedom that we enjoy today. Remember to fly your American flag on this day, Ralph Bernardo, the parade committee chairman, said in a statement on the township website.
