Two series of webinars are planned by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services this summer as part of its Stay Well initiative. Spokesperson Bob Wheaton tells WSJM News these webinars are focused on mental health in the pandemic. The first series is aimed at adults.
“This is going to be weekly, and there will be a variety of mental health specialists talking about different topics with the idea of helping people strengthen their mental resilience.”
The Summer Resilience Series webinar planned for July 20 is called “Expressive Art: Reveal, Heal, Transform,” while July 27 brings “Music for Mindfulness.” More webinars will continue throughout the summer. Wheaton says the mental health effects of the pandemic do linger.
