Ong Sum Ping team captain Kevin Tay managed 24 points while Kenny Lim had 20 points. Team 409 enjoyed a positive start during the early stages of the first quarter but their influence and high energy slowly waned as Ong Sum Ping settled into the game. The under-23 duo of Chan Yung Ken and Matthew Fong traded a pair of three-pointer to put Team 409 ahead while Kenny Lim of Ong Sum Ping ensured his side kept pace with a couple of free throws and a two-point shot.

April 23, 2021 Fadhil Yunus Team Ong Sum Ping maintained their unbeaten record in the 5.11 National Basketball League with a third successive win after cruising to a 95-65 victory over Belait District Basketball Association (BDBA) at the Brunei Basketball Association Court in Batu Bersurat last night. Kevin Tay succession of three pointers played an instrumental role in giving Ong Sum Ping a strong start. Belait District Basketball Association captain Heng Fook Yuan tried to reduce the gap with leading a scoring run but Tay converted another three-pointer shot to consolidate Ong Sum Ping’s lead early in the contest. Ong Sum Ping further increased their lead with under-23 player Elvin Lim collecting the rebound off Gideon Fung after he tried to set up Tay with a chess pass.
