Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) condemned the violent mob attack on Nazir Masih and his son, Sultan Masih, in Sargodha following false blasphemy accusations. The Masih family, owners of a shoe factory, were brutally assaulted after being falsely accused of desecrating the Quran. The mob vandalized their business and home, and even attacked the ambulance transporting the injured family. HRFP called for justice, protection, and the repeal of blasphemy laws, highlighting the recurring nature of such false accusations against Christians in Sargodha.
The top cop added that Kaushik was arrested after the local court issued a non-bailable warrant against him. “A team was sent to Uttar Pradesh and he was arrested after informing local police station,” said Chahal.
Sudhir Suri, who runs a local outfit that's named Shiv Sena, had police protection but the attacker was successful in landing at least two shots that killed him
