Angry Asante Kotoko lash out at Nouadhibou and Mauritania Police over Sulley Muniru Interpol investigation

Asante Kotoko has taken notice of a document in circulation in respect of match-fixing allegations against our former player Muniru Sulley and wish to state our position on the matter, Kotoko said in a statement on Wednesday. This is a desperate attempt by FC Nouadhibou and Mauritanian authorities to save a frivolous protest case lodged against Asante Kotoko after eliminating the former from the Caf Champions League. It would be recalled that right after their elimination from the competition, FC Nouadhibou filed a protest against Asante Kotoko on the foundation that the player Muniru Sulley was registered by the club prior to his arrival in Ghana and therefore the registration was fraudulent.

Asante Kotoko terminate contract of Sulley Muntari s brother Muniru after just two months

We wish to announce to our lovely supporters and the general public that Asante Kotoko SC and Muniru Sulley have mutually terminated their contract, Kotoko announced in a statement on Friday. It is significant to note that this termination does not come with any termination, both now and in the future. It is also important to state as a matter of fact that Muniru Sulley since joining the club was never paid any salary or signing fee. We wish to extend our best wishes to Muniru Sulley in his future endeavour. CLUB NOTICE Thank you Muniru . Muniru made his Kotoko debut as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Berekum Chelsea in the Premier League in November.

Kotoko strike first win - Ghanaian Times

Kotoko strike first win Despite Asante Kotoko clinching their first win of the season Friday evening, gritting out a 1-0 win over Legon Cities in their match-week five Ghana Premier League (GPL) game at the Accra Stadium, a lack of creativity and poor finishing highlighted their performance. Kotoko were not the only culprits of the finishing hoodoo; the ‘Royals’ equally fumbled great opportunities to level. But with a continental assignment against Sudanese giants Al-Hilal beckoning, Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu admitted in post-match that his side needed to improve their goal-scoring fortunes whilst concurrently praising their ability to score in all games so far.
