Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested two suspected armed robbers, Jerry Chuckwedu, 23, and Tomiwa Olawale, 22, for allegedly dispossessing a gold merchant of chains and rings valued at N6m at gunpoint.
The suspects were arrested on Monday following a report lodged at the Ogijo Divisional Headquarters in the Sagamu Local Government Area of the state by one Abubakar Hassan.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Oyeyemi said the complainant reported that his brother sent him from Idi-Araba in Mushin Lagos State to deliver some gold chains and rings worth N6m to his customer at the Igbo Olomu area of Isawo in Sagamu.
