Esteemed Islamic scholar Ml Sulaimaan Ravat says the greatest gift a person can receive is the gift of imaan and parents.
Ml Ravat was speaking during Sabaahul Muslim, the morning drivetime show on Radio Islam on Thursday.
Muslims have always been urged to reflect on the bounty of being born a Muslim, a beautiful gift that have been bestowed upon us by Allah.
Ml Ravat says we should thank Allah for the many bounties that He has gifted us with.
“Let us specifically, consciously, emphatically thank Allah for the bounty of imaan. There are so many who have better qualities than us. There are so many that on the apparent that would be more deserving than us. Yet Allah has selected us, Allah has chosen us to grant us imaan and he’s chosen us to be from the Ummah Muhammad-ur-Rasulullah (SAW).”

The book which highlights various ways in which a person can attain happiness was officially launched on Radio Islam International on Wednesday morning, South Africa’s biggest and multi-award winning community radio station.
During a discussion about the book with presenter Ml Ibrahim Daya, Mufti Moosajee says the book was inspired by the theme discussion during the blessed month of Ramadan which was amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
