Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port signs MoU with Tripura merchants association
Agartala, Feb 26 (UNI) The Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port of Kolkata has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with All Tripura Merchant Association (ATMA) to facilitate transit of goods to Tripura and other Northeastern states from Haldia using Inland and Coastal Waterways via neighbouring Chittagong port in Bangladesh.
The port authority has termed it as a milestone to boost the trade between northeast and rest of India.
On behalf of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Trust, the MoU was signed by Debashish Gupta, Traffic Manager, while Sujit Roy, General Secretary of ATMA, signed it on behalf of the association, here, last evening.
