The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Srinivasa Bollineni Gandhi on Tuesday in a disproportionate assets case.
According to a CBI official, a case was earlier filed against Gandhi, as well as others such as Chiluka Sudha Rani and Satya Sridhar Reddy, for allegedly seeking Rs. 5 million for input credit with regard to GST.
With Naidu s assistance, he was appointed as the superintendent of the GST Anti-Evasion Division wing at the GST Bhavan in Basheerbagh. In 1992, he began working as an inspector for the Central Excise Department. In 2002, he was promoted to superintendent. In 2003, he went to the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, where he worked for a year.

Reacting to the proposed strategic sale of RINL, reactions poured in from all political parties, across the State.
Supporting the agitation taken up by Left parties, employees of RINL and trade unions, here, Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan said that it has to be stopped and added that he will take it up personally with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, if required.
TDP leader Nara Lokesh, demanded why Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was silent on the issue. He went ahead to allege that not only RINL will be privatised, but the Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy would also sell Yarada Hill to private companies.

BJP MP Sujana Chowdary made it clear that special category status to Andhra Pradesh will not be a reality even if Chief Minsiter Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was made the Prime Minister.
Speaking to media on the Budget introduced by Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Chowdary continued saying, “We are not able to understand what Jagan is doing during his tour to New Delhi. Jagan is more interested in getting dismissed the cases registered against him than in securing funds for the state’s interest.”
