A missing 13-year-old girl was rescued after being lured to a Florida motel room by a man she met online.
The teenager was reported missing when she failed to return home from school around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 18.
Volusia Sheriff s Deputy Royce James went looking for the Oak Hill girl after speaking to a friend of the teenager who said she had been planning to go to a motel with someone she had met online, according to a news release from the Volusia County Sheriff s Office.
A Florida sheriff’s deputy looking for a 13-year-old girl, who disappeared after school, went searching from motel to motel until he found her with a 22-year-old man she met online, officials said Monday.

EDGEWATER, Fla. A Florida sheriff’s deputy rescued a 13-year-old girl from inside a “dark motel room” where she had gone with a 22-year-old man she met online, officials said Monday. The youngster came running to the deputy when he entered the room.
The Volusia Sherriff’s Office received a report of a missing child around 6:15 p.m. Thursday and learned from the girl’s grandmother that she never came home from school. Moreover, the teen never showed at a basketball game after school, the office said in a Monday Facebook post.

A Florida police officer rescued a 13-year-old girl from a 22-year-old man she met online after they were discovered at a motel last week.
The girl s grandmother told deputies that she hadn t come home from school as planned and a missing child report was filed at around 6.15pm.
A friend of the girl said she had planned to go to a motel with someone she met online.
