Gas short supplies multiply energy crisis July 19, 2021
LAHORE: Much to the dismay of users, the natural gas shortage has started to intensify the energy crisis, triggering low generation of electricity as well as a short supply of furnace oil & Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the country.
The abrupt stoppage of natural gas supply to industry resulted in heavy losses to processing industry, said representatives of the local chamber here Sunday. The major glass manufacturing units and one of the largest dairy processing factories of the country have been hit hard by sudden choking of energy supplies, inflicting losses of millions of rupees. Rawalpindi : Under the direction of the Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate RDA taking strict action against illegal housing schemes. MP&TE Directorate issued notice to the owner of illegal housing scheme namely Blue World City, Chakri Road Rawalpindi to stop illegal advertisements, ceremony, and development work.
The Director MP&TE RDA has directed the owners of above mentioned illegal housing scheme to immediately stop illegal print/electronic advertisements. He said it has come to know that you have organized an inauguration ceremony of Overseas Block at illegal scheme site and invited renowned cricketer, Shahid Khan Afridi, as chief guest to grab the attention of general public.

LAHORE: The avoidable twin energy crisis is set to wreak havoc on economy as gas and power blackouts will bring business, commercial, and manufacturing activities to a standstill, The News learnt on Monday.
The messed-up energy crisis means no gas for productive sectors of the economy like, industry and transport.
Both Sui companies have further tightened gas availability in view of shrinking supplies. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) under its load management plan for the period of June 29 to July 05, 2021 announced on Monday to suspend gas/Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) supply to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) sector, cement industry and non-export industrial sector across the franchised area of gas utility including Punjab & Khyber Pakhtunkha. Besides, RLNG supply to both Punjab-based fertiliser units would be stopped from midnight of June 29, 2021 till midnight of July 05, 2021.
