Six regional councillors have voiced their thoughts on the future of Waterloo region, saying a one-tier municipality would serve the community better. But the view isn't shared by all.
After regional council discussed the issue at a council meeting on Wednesday, the Highway 85 ramps at Lancaster will remain open after all. Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic asked council to vote down the closure of the ramps.
