Jawri Mal Bishnoi, a joint director of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, died after allegedly jumping off his fourth-floor office following his arrest for accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh, according to police. The CBI was searching Bishnoi's office when the incident occurred, and a case of accidental death has been registered at Pradyuman Nagar police station. The death has led to protests and accusations against the CBI by a group of people at the civil hospital.
